Itinerary

Day 1 Buenos Aires Program Starts
Welcome to Argentina! You will be picked up from the airport and brought to your hotel in the city center. We suggest you arrive during the morning so we can take you to a typical place for a great lunch. In the afternoon you will get a theoretical introduction to Argentina, its wine and cuisine. Tonight we will dine at one of Buenos Aires most favorite restaurants.
 
Day 2 Buenos Aires Sight Seeing
Today we enjoy a walking city tour of Buenos Aires, we go to the Barrio of La Boca, home of the Tango and of the first immigrants to the city. Lunch today will be at a classic restaurant in San Telmo in the old part of town. After lunch we visit the up market district of La Recoleta, a great place to shop, and great to walk its tree lined avenues. Tonight we have a special dinner at a local gourmet club.
 
Day 3 Flight to Mendoza
Today we will transfer to the domestic Airport for our flight west towards the city of Mendoza at the heart of the wine region of Argentina. We settle in our hotel and make an orientation walk around town.  Mendoza is a lovely provincial capital city. Tonight we will do a night walk around town and will try one of its most emblematic restaurants for a great dinner.
 
Day 4 & 5 Bodegas in Mendoza Bodegas
We begin our wine tour for the next two days, we will combine traveling among the beautiful setting of the Andes, visiting: from the classic Bodegas, to the new and the old ones, and from large producer to small boutique wineries. We will also spend the two nights at special location on the Bodegas themselves. Finally we will have our second cooking lesson at a spectacular location at the foot of a glacier at more than 3.600 meters above sea level. It will be two great days of learning and enjoying at the core of the wine region of Argentina.
  
Day 6 Buenos Aires flight – Tango Show
Today we take our flight back to the capital. We settle into our hotel and visit the old Dock Lands in Puerto Madero a beautiful part of town close to the Rio de la Plata.
Tonight for dinner we enjoy a great Tango show, the most sensual dance and symbol of the city and of Argentine culture.
 
Day 7 San Antonio de Areco Ranch
San Antonio de Areco is home to the Gaucho culture of the Pampas, only two hours away from the city but very contrasting. We will stay in a lovely ranch, get to know the gauchos, try the asado old style, those who want can also go horse back riding. Here we will have our last cooking lesson learning how to make a famous Argentine BBQ, aided by Gauchos and using the very best beef. We will spend the last night of the trip here at this cozy ranch for a fantastic last night of the trip.
 
Day 8 Buenos Aires – End of the program
After a country breakfast we drive back to the city. End of the program.
