Itinerary

Day 1 La Paz
Arrival day, check into our hotel and the day is free day to acclimatize or explore La Paz, in the afternoon we will have a group meeting to know each other and go for dinner, your tour leader will explain you the plan for the next 3 weeks. After dinner we can go explore the Bolivian night life

Day 2 Uyuni
Today we will travel south to the town of Uyuni by bus and train, enjoying great views of the surreal altiplano countryside where we may see pink flamingos. From Uyuni we will start our off-road expedition to the far south of Bolivia.

Days 3, 4, 5 El Salar de Uyuni Expedition (all meals included)
We cruise over the sea of salt exploring by four-wheel drive vehicles. The “Salar de Uyuni” is a flat area of 12,000 square km. covered with solid salt. We cross the salt flat and the Eduardo Abaroa Natural Reserve with its beautiful lakes, hundreds of flamingos, and geysers that spew volcanic steam high into the air. The landscapes are out of this world, making you feel as if you were on another planet. Along the way we will stop at some hot springs where you can have a soak.

Day 6, 7 Potosi

Potosi was once a rich colonial silver mining town. These days people are still mining in poor conditions. There is an option to visit these mines and bring gifts to the grateful miners.

Day 8, 9 Sucre
Although La Paz is internationally better known, Sucre is actually the official capital of Bolivia. The colonial city of Sucre is full of charm, with beautiful historic buildings all painted in white. Take an excursion to see ancient dinosaur tracks, go Mountain biking or chill at one of the many cafés.

Day 10, 11 Santa Cruz
A flight takes us to Santa Cruz, one of the richest towns in Bolivia, and its second largest city. Here you can enjoy the water park, hang out at the Plaza 24 de Septiembre where you might see sloth hanging from the trees, and check out the many restaurants and good night life. An overnight train ride will take us to Puerto Suarez, on the border with Brazil.

Day 12,13 Corumbá/Pantanal

After crossing the border to Brazil we will arrive in Corumbá, where we start our camping expedition to the Pantanal with 4-wheel drive vehicles. The Pantanal is one of the best places to spot wildlife, since it is not densely foliated and animals are seen in open spaces.

Day 14,15 Bonito
Bonito is a very eco-friendly town. There are many activities you can do here, such as snorkeling in crystal clear rivers full of brilliantly colored fish or visiting the caves and nearby waterfalls.

Day 16, 17 Iguazu
After a free morning in Bonito we head to Paraguay where a comfortable night bus will take us to the city of Foz de Iguaçu, back into Brazil. The next two days are free for you to explore the falls at your leisure. Wander along the walkways to view the more than 100 falls. For the more adventurous, we can organize a ride in a high-speed boat right to the bottom of Devil’s Throat, the most impressive of the waterfalls in a closed canyon surrounded by rain forest.

Day 18,19 Curitiba
We travel by bus to Curitiba, the capital of the province of Paraná and one of the most modern cities in Latin America. From here we continue to the beautiful Ihla Grande.

Day 20,21 Ihla Grande
Snorkeling, surfing, scuba diving, sailing, hiking or relaxing at the beach are some of the activities you can do during our stay on this island paradise.

Day 22 Rio de Janeiro
Free day in Rio. Prepare yourself for a wild night you will never forget.
