Peru And Bolivia Luxury Express (11 Days)

per person

Why you'll love this trip

If you only have little time and you want to visit the main attractions of Peru and Bolivia in the most comfortable way, then this is a possible trip for you. This trip was originally created for a group of very kind Thai doctors and, since then, more Asian families and people from other parts of the world have used it as a reference. On this trip you visit Lima, the mysterious Nasca Lines, Cusco, the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Machu Picchu, La Paz and the Salt Flats of Uyuni. If you had more time, you could add a luxury train ride to Lake Titicaca and travel to Bolivia from there.

Day 1. Arrival to Lima

Welcome to Peru and the City of Kings!  Upon your arrival a member of our staff waits for you to take you to your hotel in Miraflores. Welcome to the City of Kings!

Day 2. Flight over the mysterious Nazca Lines

In the morning, you travel along the coast for 3.5 hours until reaching the Pisco airport from where you start the 1h45m overflight of the Nazca Lines. These mysterious figures drawn in the desert floor are approximately 2000 years old and historians and archaeologists keep the debate on how they originated. You see 13 figures: a hummingbird, a whale, a monkey and a condor, among others. We return to Lima in the afternoon. (B)

Day 3. Lima and flight to Cusco

Its new galleries display the best and most complete collection of Peruvian gold and silver together with its famous collection of erotic pottery. Your private guide then takes you to the historical center of Lima to visit the Main Square, the Government Palace, the Cathedral and a convent while sharing personal stories about our past and present. On our way to the Sacred Valley of the Incas we stop at the impressive Sacsayhuaman Inca ruins with enormous stones and a place where you can see different types of llamas and alpacas. After lunch, we visit the Inca fortress and authentic Inca town of Ollantaytambo. In this beautiful town, local people still live in stone houses that were once built by the Incas and the water system that runs through the tiny streets is still intact.  (B, L)

After lunch you enjoy a beautiful train-ride along the Urubamba River to the town of Machu Picchu (1,5h).  We arrive and then take a 25-minute bus ride on an ascending zigzag road to spend the night at the only hotel located next to the world wonder, the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge. (B, L)

In the afternoon you return to Cusco (by train and private transport). (B)

Day 7. The Rainbow Mountain

We start early today with our tour to the Rainbow Mountain. First, we go to Qollasuyo, the southern part of the old land of the Quechuas, then we pass through Pitumarca where you see a colonial bridge. We continue through the road through small towns until we reach the Hanchipata community, where we start the hike ascending for 3 hours. During this walk, we have the opportunity to see the different types of South American camelids. Upon reaching the red hill, we have time to contemplate and take pictures of the beautiful colorful mountain landscape. Finally, you descend for 1 hour and head back to Cusco with one stop for lunch. (B, L)

Day 8. Flight to Bolivia, City tour in La Paz

You are transferred to the airport for your flight to La Paz, in Bolivia, located at 3600 m.
